Rapid Prototyping

3D Printing

3D Printing (Rapid Prototyping or Additive Manufacturing) is an incredibly powerful tool.  It allows engineers to go directly from a 3D computer model to an accurate and usable plastic part.  There are a lot of options out there for getting your prototypes made.  Over one thousand customers have chosen PADT as their 3D Printing supplier because we bring technical expertise, passionate customer service, and craftsmanship together to deliver the right prototype at the right price.

Certified Quality

PADT's 3D Printing services are all conducted under a Quality Management System that is certified the the AS9100D(2016 and ISO9001:2015 standards.

Multiple Technologies to Meet
a Broad Range of Needs

No matter what your part looks like, or how you want to use it, most service providers only have one or two technologies and you will get the technology they have, which may not be the one you need.  PADT has all of the major 3D Printing technologies in house:  Stereolithography (SLA), Selective Laser Sintering (SLS), Fused Deposition Modeling (FDM), PolyJet, and CNC Machining, along with many other complementary capabilities.   When you contact PADT for a quote, we don’t run it through an automated program and spit out a cost.  Our manufacturing engineers look at your part and talk to you about how you want to use it, what you want your prototype to do and will recommend the best technology, material, and process to meet those needs.

Passionate about Prototyping

The most common safety violation at PADT is running in the hallways, and the most common offenders are the members of the 3D Printing team.  That is because they are constantly running around the building working hard to exceed customers’ expectations.  When PADT was founded in 1994, we had almost no money and no credit, but we were so passionate about this new technology, that we spent every resource we had to secure the first SLA machine for a services company in Arizona.  That passion still burns today, even at 2:00 AM when our manufacturing engineers get out of bed and drive in to the office to pull parts from a machine and start a new run.
